Randolph is a tiny community in Clay County, Missouri, located just northeast of Kansas City. With only 31 residents, this small settlement sits in the rolling farmland of western Missouri, where the continental climate brings hot summers and cold winters typical of the Great Plains region. The community lies along local roads that connect to Highway 210, which provides the main route into Kansas City about 15 miles southwest. From Kansas City, drivers can reach Randolph via Interstate 35 north to Highway 210 east, then local roads. The area sees mostly local traffic from nearby farms and rural residents making daily trips to Kansas City for work and shopping. Highway 210 continues east toward Liberty and other Clay County communities. For longer trips, Kansas City International Airport sits about 25 miles northwest, accessible via Highway 210 west to Interstate 29 north. Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport is closer at roughly 20 miles south, reached through Kansas City's street network. The rural location means limited public transportation, making personal vehicles essential for most travel. Randolph represents Missouri's agricultural heritage in one of the state's smallest incorporated communities. The town was platted in 1887 along the old Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad line, though passenger service ended decades ago.
