The property was located very close to the entry to town which made arrival and departure by car easier. Having free under cover parking was even better. Rooms were accessed by elevator which made life easier managing luggage. The staff were friendly and helpful and made the experience very enjoyable. The hotel was excellent. The staff were professional.

The hotel was excellent. The staff were professional. Some of the wait staff seemed to be impatient and stressed. Not that friendly. Bar staff were very good, informative and friendly. I ate at the hotel. Getting around was easy by bus, walking or driving. Waterford Factory tour, the Tower, Cathedrals, other attractions.

We enjoyed a most interesting and entertaining walk around the main historical sights with Jack (2 walks daily) Other walks along the river waterfront - will be even more attractive when contruction work is completed - hopefully soon. A good range of shops around the busy and vibrant shopping and cultural area. An excellent and extensive Greenway for cyclists and walkers along the former railway coastal route. That will be for our next visit!

I liked the food, pubs, ease of getting around and accessible tourist attractions. I wish there were a few free tourist things to do (similar to the museums being free in Dublin) so that I could wander in and out of places rather than needing to commit an hour or more to a place as I've paid to enter that one time. I adore how you can visit a museum in Dublin for 15 mins and come back later or the next day and do more...at no cost! Beautiful. Waterford was a nice trip overall. 1 to 2 nights needed.

I drove to New Ross, a nice small town nearby, home of John F. Kennedy’s family, housing the Dunbrody Famine Ship. Drove to Hook Lighthouse (oldest in Europe). Very interesting. Intown Waterford, the Waterford Crystal Experience was interesting and the cafe inside has a good lunch menu. Excellent salads. Waterford city is not particularly attractive nor interesting. I am a solo traveler.

The sun shone during our trip to Waterford and that always helps. The town has some interesting museums to keep you occupied if it does rain. Most tourists will probably head to the Waterford glass making factory but we would recommend the Clock Museum. It's small but contains some lovely time pieces and is worth a visit.

The Breakfast was made of two parts cold i.e. cereal and Porridge. and a cooked element, it can only be described as Superb. The Room was overlooking the River Suir, lots of interest there, The Waterford City and Country are building a new Foot Bridge across the River right outside the Granville hotel, awesome !. Right beside the River, what could be better.

Nice hotel close to city centre. Room was modern and well presented and relatively quiet at night considering proximity to a busy road and the hotel being fully booked.
